SECORD ATHLETICS

RUGBY: Practice for all those interested TODAY - after school, meet on the field in WARM clothing. (No cleats yet please - the ground isn't ready for them).

Ball hockey today, I will report Tuesday and Wednesday's scores on Friday. Check the board for times, please be prompt. I know the teachers lost their second game, but we are building self -esteem.

Wrestling, yesterday 6 of our athletes competed at SWC. Three of them for Jr. Sossa. Winning Gold were Alex Hill and Gareth Rollason. Honorable mention goes to Delaney Spencer for never giving up. After the Junior Sossa tournament, the All-Star dual meet was held showcasing some of the best wrestlers in Niagara. Secord had three wrestlers competing. Linsday Gray won the first round but got stuck in a head and arm and lost to a very good wrestler. Damian Birdsey won a very exciting match and Mike MacFarlane also lost a very close match. Congratulations to all wrestlers, you did awesome! Practice today and Friday. Go Patriots. This will be aired sometime soon on Cogeco.

GUIDANCE
The course selection process begins next week but that doesn’t mean that you can’t start thinking about your course and program selections now. Make sure you check out the letter and information package that was provided to you with your Semester 1 final report to find out more.

PREFECT APPLICATIONS FOR GRADE 10s & 11s
We have openings for 4 Prefects for the remainder of the school year. These positions are open to current grade 10 and 11 students only. If you are interested, pick up an application form from Mrs. Biega in guidance and return it to guidance by Tuesday February 14 at noon. If you have any questions, please find Mrs. Lafferty, Logan or Anneke.

PREFECTS
There is a Prefect meeting today at lunch in room 207 for any Prefect who did not attend the meeting on Tuesday.
GSA "The GSA will meet today at lunch in room 209. Bring your lunches and everyone is welcome!"

For the stage crew of the Drowsy Chaperone: There is a meeting today at lunch today in the Aud. Do not be late! If you were not at rehearsal last night, please see Dez.

Costumes – Attention Drowsy Chaperone cast! The following people have fittings today after school in the dance room: Patrick, Savannah, Scott and Mason. If you cannot make it after school, Ms. Copland will be here at lunch as well. Also, costume crew; please check the drama board for this weekend’s schedule.
